Bimbo Akintola was born in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria to an Oyo State Muslim cleric and an Edo State mother. Bimbo is the third of six children.

Her passion for acting was evident from childhood, and she participated in several plays, and, with the help of her mother.

Bimbo Akintola attended Maryland Convent Private School for her primary education and Command Day Secondary School for her secondary education.

Afterwards, she attended the University of Ibadan and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts.

Akintola actively participated in acting while studying.

She consistently expanded her passion, and she did so effortlessly in no time.

She used to perform every weekend at Divine on Allen Avenue in Lagos, alongside the late Jaiye Aboderin.
